Planning For Frameless Glass Balustrades

Leigh at LE landscapes made the site visit to make sure the frameless balustrade could be installed safely to the wall that had already been built. Leigh took all required measurements so we could order the 17.5mm toughened and laminated glass prior to the installation date to speed up the process for our customers.

Project Brief

Client Needs

Jack and Jessica had been looking to have a frameless glass balustrade system that would make their tiered garden safe but at the same time complement there impressive landscaped garden. With the frameless balustrade system this also doesn’t obstruct any light from the property itself.

Delivery & Turnaround

Once the Glass Balustrade System has been ordered the glass making process can be as little as 5 working days up to 10 working days depending on glass type. Toughened and laminated glass takes around 10 days as the process is slightly more complicated. As soon as the glass arrives, we contact you to arrange delivery at a time and day of your choice. We like to complete all projects within 3-4 weeks from receipt of order.

Installation Process

Stage 1
When leigh arrives on site the first thing he will do is mark out where the posiglaze aluminium track will be installed and cut required lengths if needed.

Stage 2
The track can now be set into place to mark all required holes for drilling, on this property the coping stone was made from porcelain and required a rubi dry cut tile drill bit before the main holes were drilled.

Stage 3
Leigh can now install the frameless balustrade track and the 17.5mm toughened and laminated glass using the packers and clips provided for the posiglaze frameless system.

Stage 4
the cover strips and rubber gaskets are installed to the balustrade system to hide the mechanics of the system and give you the sleek clean finish.

Stage 5
The 316 stainless steel handrail can now be installed.

Final stage
All the parts and glass is cleaned thoroughly and final inspection is complete.
